(More customer reviews)Ok, it's a nylon bag that is big enough to hold the Park Tool PRS-15 Professional Race Stand. But it's truly only that. The zipper is the typical narrow coil nylon zipper that you find on every cheap duffel bag made in China. I don't expect to last all that long because the PRS-15 is heavy and I'm pretty sure I won't be careful enough one time putting the stand in the bag and picking it up and the full weight will be on the zipper and it will split. The first time with a coil zipper I expect that I'll be able to force it back but it's days will be numbered. Then I'll hit up a fabric store and put a real zipper in it.
However, the seams are all covered and the strap is sewn on well. The strap could use a pad like this, Timbuk2 Strap Pad,Ballistic and I'll probably get one. The photograph of the guy carrying the stand is totally bogus as the balance point isn't where he has the bag but oh well, that's just marketing.
So why did I buy this? Good question, but mostly I was too lazy to sew my own bag and I wanted a sack to hold it when I'm not using the stand, and so when I put it down outside in the wet grass & mud & gravel that the stand has some protection from the elements. And for the money you can hardly buy the fabric let alone a zipper.
Why should you buy one? Because you have the PRS-15 stand and want to keep it nice looking and you are planning on hauling it around to the velodrome or the race start and want a way to do that. My advice is get the pad if you have any distance to go, you won't regret it.
