The Gerber Trendy is a knife with a look all its own. I've never before owned such a skeletal knife. There is almost nothing to the frame, being as the blade isn't even enclosed, yet it functions well as a handle and is even more ergonomic that the average folder. That little strip of pear wood is just enough to prevent a finger, or almost anything else for that matter, running across the blade edge when closed, and it looks cool to boot.Another thing I like about the trendy is how light it is. You really do not notice the weight in your pocket. The lip works well enough for me, as I like to clip it into the small pocket in my front pants pocket, but trying to use it as a money clip is a bit of s stretch. You can only fit about 8-10 bills in it.

I also like the fact that you can open it one handed, with some practice. It's not as built for it as my Ti-Lite, but it can still be opened in that fashion, albeit slowly. You have to hold the open part of the blade with you're thumb and forefinger and then press back on the frame with your ring finger. Then switch your grip and push the blade the rest of the way with your thumb on the open part of the blade. It's not quick, but it is serviceable.

Overall I like the little knife and would definitely recommend it.
