(More customer reviews)I've been riding a track bike in urban environments for years and I can't stress how valuable thorn-resistant 700c tubes have been to me. I ride slick, thin tires and skid stop a moderate amount. I also ride at night quite a bit and seem to always be ride through glass and other junk. With standard-thickness tubes I average about a flat a week. (and when that flat occurs during my commute to work, I f'ing screwed) Using thorn-resistant tubes I've gone months without a flat. I've even worn thru 3 back tires while using the same tube. For urban riding--especially when wearing out your tires skidding--these suckers are worth their weight in gold. I believe most shops don't carry them because they'll lose out on that $5 a week you would be spending on tubes.

I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about, because I've found that thorn-resistant tubes hold PSI, waaaay longer than standard tubes. I can pump up to 130PSI and my tires remain rock solid for almost two weeks...

I would have given five stars, but they are super heavy. Not recommended for racing.
